 We started small: A husband and wife, both school teachers, building a home for their family. As it turned out, people really liked that first home…and before long, the family was busy building more homes. Today, the company that Caryl and Del Ockey started in 1973 has grown to international prominence with operations in Tampa, Denver, British Columbia, Ottawa, and Calgary, Canada.
A lot has changed since we started, but we still remain true to the spirit and commitment that went into that first Cardel home. We continue to base our philosophy of Building Excellence on the values of innovation and integrity, and after thirty years, we’re still building homes that we’re proud to call our own.
